Cosmetic Dentistry

As a general dental practice we provide all routine dental treatments. We refer elsewhere for implants but to just show you a few extras that we provide have a look through the sections.

White fillings

Bioclear

A number of dentists at the practice have trained in Bioclear composites, this process is a little more complex and time consuming the normal white fillings that you may be used to. In preparation for the fillings the tooth will be cleaned with a sandblaster, special matricies are placed to ensure there are no ledges on the filling edges, then the white fillings are heated and injection moulded into the matricies, before polishing. It is a brilliant system for closing spaces between teeth.

Smilefast composite veneers

Smilefast are composite veneers that are placed directly in your mouth – quicker and cheaper than ceramic veneers made in the lab. 6 veneers will take approximately 2 hours!

What’s the process?

You will need a check up with Emily first to see if you are suitable.
We can then take a series of photos and impressions of your teeth, 1 week later your Smile Design will be ready – photos will be made of how your teeth could look. You can tweak anything at this point.

Next the Smile Trial. A stent will be made at the Smilefast lab, which we then fill with a temporary veneer material and attach to your teeth – you can see what it will look like in your mouth before you have the procedure done. And again if there’s anything you would like to change – we can change it!

Then the Smile reveal. It takes between 1.5 – 2hrs, depending on how many veneers you are having placed. You leave with the veneers fitted, no temporaries

We do a deal on Boutique whitening for £250 when a patient has Smilefast – usually patients who have veneers would like whiter teeth – you can pick how light you want the veneers but it’s always good if the rest of your teeth match! We recommend the whitening is done first – or during the design and trial stages, and after you have veneers placed we will make you a new Boutique tray for top ups!

Don’t forget, Denplan patients get 15% off the end cost!

Orthodontics

Invisalign

Invisalign has treated over 9million smiles worldwide and how every single one of those worked has been saved using their advanced technology – they then use this to predict how your teeth will respond to treatment.

They are the clear market leader in removable tray orthodontics and their braces are the most discreet around.

After taking impressions of your teeth they are sent to Invisalign where they are scanned – this is where there software comes in- over the course of a couple of weeks a treatment plan is developed and you can come in and see how your teeth will move from every single angle. And you can see exactly how long your treatment will take.

QuickStraightTeeth

The QuickStraightTeeth™ orthodontic system uses nearly-invisible braces to gently straighten your teeth, and give you that smile you’ve always dreamed of.

We all want a perfect smile, but all too often, the word ‘braces’ can conjure up images of old-fashioned ‘train-tracks’ or Ugly Betty!

You will be pleasantly surprised by QuickStraightTeeth™. The braces look beautiful and discreet with top quality tooth-coloured ceramic brackets and metal wires, making them virtually invisible. Most people won’t know you are wearing braces at all and treatments can take as little as 6 months to complete.

With an option to suit almost everyone, QuickStraightTeeth™ can boost your confidence, raise your self-esteem, and give you that winning smile.

Package prices range from £1400-£1800 upper OR lower, £2600-£3200 for both. Package includes fixed and removable retainers, and less than half price whitening.

Tooth whitening

What is teeth whitening?

The colour of your teeth can be affected by many factors including the aging process, staining from food and drink, trauma, illness, disease and medication.
Professional teeth whitening from a dentist is the only safe, legal, and effective method of achieving a whiter, brighter smile.

Here at Webheath Dental Practice we use Boutique Whitening, which is a premium quality, professional teeth whitening system that delivers superior results, and we love it!

How does teeth whitening work?

Your dentist will first carry out a full dental examination to assess the overall health of your mouth. Provided everything looks good, they will then explain your teeth whitening options.

With Boutique, you can whiten your teeth during the day, or overnight as you sleep, depending on what suits your lifestyle.
The dentist will take some photographs to check the existing shade of your teeth. Then an impression will be taken and sent to the Boutique Whitening laboratory, where your bespoke, custom-fit whitening trays will be made.

Your trays will be fitted at the practice and you will be shown you how to use the whitening syringes. In most cases, you will see an improvement in just a few days and optimum results in around 3 weeks.
It really is that simple!

Why is home whitening the best option?

In-chair whitening with a lamp (sometimes referred to as laser-whitening) is what most patients picture when considering professional tooth whitening. However, there is questionable evidence to prove the effectiveness of these lamps.

On the other hand, there is an overwhelming body of evidence to show that dentist-supervised home whitening is the most effective way to whiten teeth.

Here at Webheath Dental Practice we have helped many people achieve beautiful, whiter smiles using Boutique Whitening.

Boutique Whitening is a system that we trust, that we use ourselves, and that we find gives consistently amazing results. It’s definitely our favourite whitening brand!

Day or night whitening?

Boutique Whitening comes in different formulas so that you can whiten your teeth during the day, or overnight as you sleep.

The Day kit contains 6% hydrogen peroxide and is designed for 2 hours wear per day.

The Night kits come as either 10% or 16% carbamide peroxide, which is designed for 6 hours+ overnight wear.

Facial Aesthetics

Facial Aesthetics

Everyone is unique. We all have different features, skin conditions and facial movements. To achieve and maintain the best results for looking good and feeling great your cosmetic treatments should be as individual as you are.

We offer a range of facial treatments. After full consultation to discover what you are looking to achieve we will suggest the options best suited to you. We may combine different techniques to ensure you get the best result.

Many of the treatments which we offer are not permanent. The advantage of such treatments is that the procedure can be reviewed at each appointment enabling us to change the amount of product used accordingly.

Patients who are members of Denplan here can benefit from reduced fees for facial aesthetic treatments. We always offer a free consultation to enable us to tailor treatment to your needs and to answer any questions you may have.

Dermal Fillers

As skin ages, both naturally and because of factors such as smoking, diet and sun damage, we lose collagen, fat and other natural moisturising substances from our skin. As these are depleted our skin becomes thinner and lines, wrinkles and folds develop.

Facial volume loss is one of the key factors in the ageing process, and dermal fillers can help to replenish this lost volume, and rejuvenate the face.

Dermal fillers can also be used to enhance, define, or enlarge lips, and to shape and volumise the face by injection into cheeks, chins, and nose.
Treatment usually involves the application of local anaesthetic cream to the treated area of the face or dental block injections for the lips.

The dermal filler is then comfortably injected into the treated area to fill out the line, wrinkle or fold.

If you are interested in reducing wrinkles which occur through facial expression, you may find that other treatments which we offer are better suited to your needs.

At Webheath we provide the PERFECTHA® range of dermal fillers. PERFECTHA® is a tailor made range of « Made in France » HA fillers designed for wrinkle correction, facial contouring and volume restoration, offering immediate natural-looking and long-lasting results.

Why have we chosen PERFECTHA®
They have been helping people look their best for over 13 years. That adds up to 3.3 million vials of filler – and countless smiles in over 70 countries. Perfectha is safe and trusted by thousands of aesthetic specialists.

The Perfectha range uses the best ingredients. It matters, because to get the most beautiful results, you need a top-quality filler. And, of course, they meet all the required safety standards set by health authorities and EU safety regulations.

Muscle Relaxing Injections

Botulinium Toxin type A is a purified form of a naturally occurring protein which temporarily prevents muscles in the treated area from contracting and creating wrinkles. If you have lines and wrinkles that can be seen at rest, dermal fillers may be a more appropriate choice for you.

The most commonly treated areas are crow’s feet, frown lines and the forehead. They can also be used to relax the upper lip to treat ‘gummy smiles’

Treatment involves a small number of injections with a small needle and takes only minutes to carry out.

The effects may be seen within 48 to 72 hours although it takes up to two weeks for the full result to appear.  Although it may vary from person to person, the results last around 3 months. Some studies have even shown that with repeated treatment, the interval between injections becomes longer.
